The MINT Inc’s Role
Since its inception in 1998, Mint Inc has taken on the management of several heritage sites across Victoria, undertaking significant conservation and building works to give the properties a new lease of life.
In most cases these historic buildings were locked or empty. They are now open and actively used, allowing many more people to appreciate the unique character of these important heritage places.
Our mission is to ensure these buildings are expertly conserved to protect their heritage values and provide sustainable and viable commercial or community use.
The Benefits of Recycling Heritage Buildings
Conserving heritage buildings and adapting them for a variety of uses ensures the preservation of the buildings and means they generate benefits for all Victorians.
Recycling heritage properties is an integral part of sustainable development, using less energy and natural resources and preserving historic materials.
These heritage places also become real community assets and enhance the character of local neighbourhoods.
